Supporting first-generation entrepreneurs in Tier 2 and Tier 3 locations from idea through to a working enterprise.
THE NEED — CURRENT DATA
Share of India's GDP contributed by MSMEs, and 48.6% of exports.
Ministry of MSME, 2026Share of Udyam registrations that are women-owned enterprises.
Ministry of MSME, 2024Why it matters
MSMEs are the second-largest employer in India after agriculture, yet the person starting their first business in a small town usually does so alone — without a mentor, without market access and without a credible route to capital. Women-led and veteran-led enterprises remain markedly under-represented. Training alone does not fix this; the journey from idea to scale has to be supported.
