Economic Survey 2023-24, Ministry of FinanceWhy it matters
Ability is not the constraint. Young people finish school or college outside the metros without exposure to the roles now hiring, without digital fluency, and without anyone to help them take a first step. Fewer than one in twenty has had any formal vocational training. What is missing is information, structured training and a credible pathway.
